Spm was the first independent company in Europe to rethink the design methodology behind electrical appliances.
This consists of leaving behind the traditional linear – or sequential – process in favour of parallel integration of all the functions involved in the development of a new product.
This means that all resources participate starting with initial decisions concerning the layout of the design in order to limit the costs of subsequent modifications and to comply with delivery times.
The benefits of this new philosophy are:
- Ensuring that by the design phase the product is able to satisfy requirements in terms of:
- Reducing production costs and process optimisation
- Increasing the reliability of the product during mass production
- Reducing the time to market
